She was more than a little surprised to see him, honestly. From what she'd heard (and heard from) the Bat who haunted Gotham's streets, he stayed in his territory and he expected others to do the same. Which, of course, was why she hadn't ever doned the cape while over in the other city even if she was there often enough for her other job.
Being fresh on the beat meant you got more of the lackluster travel assignments and as far as most people thought, going to Gotham was neither fun, exotic, nor interesting enough to really have anyone fighting for trips there.
Tonight, however, they were in Metropolis; the Bat was in her city. Which meant that she had no qualms about floating up from between the buildings behind him and clearing her throat.

She floats up and over until she can settle on the brickwork, actually stand beside him. She doesn't like to float at people. It tends to make them feel intimidated and that's not what she's going for here.
"This is still my city, after all. I might be able to help."
